Overview

PureFlags ("we", "us") is a free educational site that lets you browse the world's flags and test your knowledge with a quiz. We try to collect as little data as possible. This page explains exactly what we do collect and why.

What data we collect

• Quiz scores. When you submit a score to our leaderboard, we store the display name you entered, your score, and the time of submission. Do not enter your real name or any personal information in this field.
• Cookies and local storage. We use cookies and browser local storage for basic site functionality (such as remembering preferences). Third-party services we use, like Google AdSense, may also set cookies — see below.
• Basic technical data. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard request information such as IP address and user agent for security and reliability.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

PureFlags may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data to third parties. The only data sharing that occurs is with the third-party services required to operate the site (hosting, analytics, advertising), and only for the purposes described above.
